R.I.P. Denis O’Keeffe

It is with great sadness that the club learnt of the passing of Denis O’Keefe on the 17th July 2017. Denis was a lifelong angler and acted as boatman for many people fishing the loughs in Ireland. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him on and off the water.

Denis O’Keeffe, Harmony Heights, Cavan, Monday July 17th, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of Ann and dear father of Geoffrey. Kenneth. Denise. Brenda and Andrea. Treasured father-in-law of Thomas, Barry, Sean, Mary and Joanne and adored grandfather of Rían. Jack, Sadhbh, Molly, Dee and Katie, wonderful brother of Joey, Felim, Angela, Kieran, Patrick, Evelyn, Cyril and Fidelma. Sadly missed by by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the home of his son Kenneth, 36 Lorreto Wood, Cavan from 6.00pm until 9.00pm today Monday and from 12.00 noon until 9.00pm Tuesday, with removal on Wednesday at 1.30pm to Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 2.00 pm, interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery. House private at all other times please.
