Kells 1916 – 2016 Commemoration

  • News

The Easter Rising was held on the weekend of the 23rd/24th April, 1916.

The Kells 1916-2016 commemoration, together with Meath County Council, are holding a parade in the town on Saturday 23rd of April 2016, to commemorate this event in our nations history. The ceremony will include a parade, Blessing of a new erected memorial, Reading of the Proclamation, civic address and laying of a wreath.

The committee would like to event all clubs/groups to participate in the parade. As such Kells anglers will be taking part and we would ask that any members available on the day to take part.
