R.I.P. Kevin Gerry

It is with great sadness that the club learnt of the passing of Kevin Gerry on the 18th April 2021. Denis was a lifelong angler and fished with many members of the club over the years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him on and off the water.

The death has occurred of Kevin Gerry, Johnstown, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath, peacefully on the 18th April 2021 at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his father Stan. Loving husband of Julie, and devoted father to Jake and Joe.

Kevin will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, his mother Betty, sisters Bib and Hazel, aunts Rose and Mae, brother in law Billy, niece Charley, Jake’s partner Gemma and Joe’s partner Jenna, his many colleagues at Kone Lifts and Escalators, friends and former team-mates at North Kildare Rugby Club, friends in various fishing and shooting clubs, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Kevin rest in eternal peace.

Kevin’s final journey takes place this Wednesday afternoon passing his home at 1pm approx, enroute to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan via Killulagh, Drumcree, Collinstown, Finea.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care afforded to Kevin by the doctors and nursing staff of the Oncology Unit, Mater Hospital, Dublin and Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, and Kevin’s palliative care teams.
